Cubs starters Wells, Cashner head to DL (AP)

The Chicago Cubs will place pitchers Randy Wells and Andrew Cashner on the 15-day disabled list because of arm injuries. Cubs general manager Jim Hendry says the two won't throw for two weeks and will be re-evaluated then. Wells reported soreness after making his first start of the regular season, a 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, on Monday.
