Cubs to interview Phillies' Mackanin (AP)

A person familiar with the search says the Chicago Cubs will interview Philadelphia Phillies bench coach Pete Mackanin for their vacant manager's job on Friday. The person was not authorized to comment publicly on the process and spoke on the condition of anonymity. ESPN first reported the story. Chicago has also been granted permission to interview Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux.
