She is basically the same character in a TV show called Motherland. It is in part by Graham Linehan who was responsible for The IT Crowd. It is pretty good.

As far as the show, the jokes fell flat for me a good chunk of the time.

I hadn't heard of it either until a buddy of mine was chatting with his friend in the UK and recommended it. I believe that we watched it on Apple TV.
