Curt Schilling takes the loss in his closer debut against the Yankees

Curt came in to pitch the 9th inning tonight against the Yankees in a 6-6 game. Sheffield led off the inning with a double and then A-Rod took Curt deep to make it 8-6. The Red Sox could not score in the bottom of the 9th.

I can't stand the Yanks, but A-Rod of all people ruining the Schilling and the Sox big night made me laugh.

Bittersweet

I can't believe that Shill's first appearence ended up like that. A-Rod absolutely hammered the GW HR off of him. Did anybody catch the post game comments? If he tries to blame it on anybody but himself, I will laugh all night.

Its obvious he needs some time in the minors, he hasn't pitched for 7-8 months. Curt, swallow your pride, get healthy, and make the team better.
