Cardinals don't really use a FB in the first place. So this isn't much of a shocker.

I'm wondering if the Cardinals will try to do a trade or two before they reach their 53 man roster. Some teams may not want to chance claiming a player they want after they are waived.

I'm not surprised... put Lasike on the PS.

This is good news for K. Williams & S. Taylor, but now the question becomes... are they keeping 4 or 5 RBs.

We need to trade a WR for a LB, inside or outside. That is my biggest concern going into the year.

Yep. Opens the door for KW to sneak onto the roster.

C'mon Kerwynn and Kulabafi!

I love Lasike, terrible blocking technique, but hell of an athlete - hope he makes the PS.

Williams has to make the team - no? I like Taylor too so I say we keep five RBs.

Whatever the Cardinals deem their greatest need. I just do not like the idea of cutting a player that can play.

Doubt that happens - we have 3 starting quality WR, 1 good backup (Jeron Brown), 1 ok backup (Golden), 1 rookie (Fire) and potential after that. Your good backup is also the only one with any decent size past the starters.

I hope so. I like that toting the rock as much as anyone on the team (even though he probably won't see much action with our top 3 RBs).

Cardinals cut DE Matt Shaughnessy.

Probably tried to trade him, but his salary may have been a deterrent. Cap Hit 2015 $2.775M, dead money $1.2M. Base salary: $1.45M.

Really looked slower and heavier footed this PS. Weird wide open tackle in the backfield he missed last night, where he just kind of stopped as if the whistle had blown/ Probably was seeing the writing on the wall when they kicked him inside and then added all that depth there. Was solid versus the run at SOLB the past couple of years, but did not provide much of a pass rush.

When he returned from injury last year, I expected our run defense to get an injection of awesomeness, instead he looked as slow as the guys with 12 games under their belt for the season. I think Rugby was correct in that he was losing a step after every injury.

Shaughnessy cut kind of a surprise. Guess it saves $

Funny, but I thought we looked good running out of the I formation last night with the FB leading the way (better by far than running the WR in motion into the box)...but as I suspected both Hughes and Lasike have been waived.

The question I kept asking myself was, why can't Taylor take on Hughes' role? Plus, Taylor is the superior STs player. And when BA gave Taylor the big hug last night, it looked to me like that was a "I'm with you, man" hug.

Who is Josina Anderson and who is feeding her all of the Cardinals cuts? Never heard of her before.
