Also this would be an excellent idea to bring in some new ASFNers to try it out....If you know anybody please have them take a look.

Count me in. I don't know that I'm ready to retire En Sabah yet, but he'd be happy to play /w my younger QB on the Clerks for a bit while the Czars are slowbuilding.

lol...I'm predicting Banky would jump at the chance to bring both the Czar wideouts to the Clerks.

I think I would want to place Stackwell and Sutcliffe on another team until their career runs out.

En Sabah might beg for his lvl 48 equipment as a parting gift (if that much $ is available)... I know the thought of V.Creed's lvl 40 upgrades is giving banky nightmares. :p

If the slow-build plan goes forward, we should probably plan out positions/player-types needed.

I'm thinking that we should ride out the Czars season (last Hurrah) and then regroup with level 1's during the offseason...Maybe have everyone generate a level 1 next week to start the process.

The Czars would drop to a low level league (BBB) and we can continue the slowbuild process.

The Czar's should then be able to give all the players "Employee Appreciation" Rolex and then we can bring the level 1's on board...while in the BBB leagues.

The high level Players can be retired or find homes on new teams.

Thoughts people?

Absolutely.

Last thing we want to do is create a bunch of lvl 1 kickers.

Czars have been in neutral for a while. I don't have any issue with breaking up the team. I won't retire Hercules or Shepherd yet and I guess they can go to the Maori or wherever. I can create 1-2 new players for Czars v2.0. Let me know when. Flex Hammer may be retired after this season, so his flex points could fuel the new players for a few seasons.

okay, so we're talking about basically scrapping all our guys (owner's choice, of course) and starting fresh?

I'm cool with that. I might think about keeping one or two guys and shopping them around, but overall I like the idea.

Will the GLB folks let us drop back a few leagues? If we start the Czars fresh we'll get trounced by 4 digits in this league.

Yes and Yes.

We're gonna treat this season as our last "hurrah" before retirement or relocation.

The reason for this is simple - if we canned the czars now we'd be screwing over teams that we already played. We got a rep of being a tough hard nose team.

So at least we'll have some type of integrity when we go into "rebuild" mode and leave in good terms.

After this season - we'll PM GLB support to inform them of our intentions and request they drop us down to the BBB leagues.

From there we'll have 1st level players on "slow cook" for about 2 seasons (level 24) - before we consider boosting.

By that time we should also have about $60 million in the bank....so when we start becoming competitive we shouldn't have problems with equipment needs, etc.

by slow build do you mean that we're not to put FP into the players to level up in the offseason?

We'll also need Shane's input.

btw: DO NOT START CREATING GUYS YET!

Also are there any ASFners that may be interested in signing up?
We have 3 vacant accounts that does have monetary value inwhich they can take over.

Correct.

We are holding off on boosting for a couple seasons.

I figured that the first boost would cost a player about 7-8 intense trainings and the second season boost would cost the player about 10-11 intense trainings.

So waiting to boost until we are starting the 10th GLB season - would give each player between 15-20 more intense training sessions relative to their level of someone who boosted. That's all assuming they get a good 40 plays a game.

Another point - While folks are thinking bout it.

15-20 intense trainings is of course, training 2 attributes 15-20 times.

At a really low attribute level, intense training nets you up to 65-70%.

That tapers off, but by the time you will probably be spilling the SPs into that attribute you will still be getting a good 25% training.

That means a good 14 to 20 extra SPs relative to your player's level compared to a player who boosted.

As a slow build team our focused is on player development by getting as much XP for your player as possible.

Winning will come in 2-3 seasons (2 months).

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=169

The above link is what will happen with slowbuild players when they get into the 40's. That team was one of the first slowbuild teams started back in Season 3...now they are in the pro's.

As they rose up the ladder they typically went against equal or better levels and they ended up winning the whole thing since they had superior builds

That's the path we want to follow

Here is another useful link why people slow build...primarily because the training is more efficient when an attribute is low.

http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Build_Strategies_Comparison

Here are two links that discusses the topic:

- Guide to Slow Building: http://snipr.com/850710-glb
- Slow Building FAQ: http://snipr.com/425494-glb

ALSO DON'T FORGET - you stockpile your flex points till you have enough to hit a soft cap (say 48)....then drop the amount in and move onto the next major attribute.

Remember - You don't spend SP when you get them right away! Our team is going with the Slow Build Soft-cap

Here are a couple more points: do not put points into stamina we are going to keep the XP rotation consistent so the entire team gets max XP. After 45 plays there's no reason to play any more.

As far as daily training:
Intense all the way. focus...which means is that you train solely on intense and you focus yer intense training as best you can on your primary skills, and soft-cap ASAP in the best possible order.

I'm in.

Perhaps we can also discuss what type of player we want to create so we have a well rounded team.

I had success with J-BAD, and I like D. Maybe a linebacker or a DE would be something of interest to me. I would actually really enjoy building a pass rushing DE.

I have two players that have been slowbuilding on banky's team:
SS Victor Creed II
TE -Taltos-

Both are currently lvl 5, and haven't been on the depth chart for the most part, just intense training.

I was thinking about joining a D-League right before they hit lvl 7 and tearing it up a bit :D, but would there be interest in them joining the new slow-build-czars?
