Sam ( Denver, Co ): DA, Im a huge nuggets fan and now that the Nuggets have acquired Kenyon Martin do you think they are done this offseason? If not which other free agents do they have a shot at?

David Aldridge: You hear Trenton Hassell, but if I were Denver, I'd try to deal for a guy like Eric Piatkowski or Casey Jacobsen, a deadeye shooter who can loosen things up inside for Melo and K Mart.

When I think deadeye, I think Peja or Reggie...I know the numbers dont necessarily lie, but I just dont feel that Casey deserves that title yet.

LOL, Jacobsen for Nene. The Suns could even throw in the infamous Rights To Vujanic.

I've actually come to like Casey Jacobsen, but I might trade him for Francisco Elson. Well, I might want to see Elson play a few more times. :)

I wouldn't trade Casey just now. I think he is ready to have a breakout year although his minutes will be going down.

But the good thing about Casey is that he seems like a great guy to have in the locker room and accepts his role but still works hard.

I would rather trade Zarko than Casey.

I am watching Casey Jacobsen in the summer league right now. His three-point shooting has been incredibly impressive so far. His release looks even faster and better than last year.

I have to say I like how diligent Casey is about improving his game.

Yes, I think the Phoenix Suns really, really like Casey Jacobsen. He still needs to work on his in between game, but he has been impressive in East Summer league games so far.

I suspect that Casey will start getting more attention if he keeps this up. He shot OK last summer, but it looks like he has really stepped up his game.

In any case, I would rather wait for a deal that seriously improves the Suns than just to get another big body. Having a three point shooter is never a bad thing.

Agreed. I'm not sold on Casey long-term, but he has immediate value to the team on and off the court. Plus, if the Suns want to trade him, his value will be much greater during the season. This is a guy that provides scoring off the bench for less than $2 mil per. The Suns have an option for 06/07 for $2.5 mil. My guess is, unless he's part of a much bigger trade, he's not going anywhere until then.
