D-backs announce new clear bag policy ahead of 2020 season

https://arizonasports.com/story/2215601/d-backs-announce-new-clear-bag-policy-ahead-of-2020-season/

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced a new clear bag policy for Chase Field on Tuesday.

Effective at D-backs Fan Fest on Feb. 15, the team is looking to streamline the process of getting through the gates.

This season, clear bags (plastic, vinyl, PVC) with no obscured interior pockets are permitted but must be under 12 inches wide by six inches long by 12 inches tall. In addition, one-gallon plastic storage bags (re-sealable, clear) are permitted, while small clutch bags and wallets, no larger than 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches, are also allowed.

Seat cushions without pockets, zippers or concealable areas are acceptable but cannot exceed 18 inches in width. Clothing and blankets are permitted but must be carried loosely or in an approved clear bag.

Backpacks, wallets, camera and computer bags, fanny packs, cinch bags, briefcases and luggage of any kind are not permitted. Bags and wallets exceeding the approved size are also not allowed.

Fans with unapproved bags will be asked to return them to their vehicles. Those arriving to a game by public transit can use the first-come, first-serve storage lockers located at the stadium for a fee.

No surprise. Heard that this was coming all year when we attended games.

We always just bring our Cardinals' bags anyway.

Wallets are not allowed? What is the rationalization for that?

You'd think MLB would want to encourage spending money at games.

There is a misprint there - wallets exceeding the 6.5x4.5 inches aren't allowed.
