I am processing a large die-cast dispersal sale with 1,000s of Items from 1990-present, including (7) D-Backs pieces.

I am managing the dispersal to help a family member and since this isn't a business, the moderators were OK with me posting in the Diamondbacks thread. I'm not a spammer and hope my post isn't interpreted this way.

Please visit www.diecastdispersal.com to view the current listing or review the complete inventory (HTML and PDF formats available under "Inventory" option on main menu). Be sure to scroll down as the D-Backs items were just listed and are currently near the bottom.

Thanks!

Stewart

How come the ebay id is sellitnowconsignments? How come you have a website that you advertise? If it looks like a business and smells like a busines....It's a business.

1. Sellitnowconsignments is a 3rd party that manages the listing and shipping process for the Dispersal. I have spent my time completing the inventory and other areas and a)simply don't have the time to handle the day-to-day listing and b) would rather pay someone a standard commission that will do a good job and also has a solid reputation on eBay.

2. I have a website for several reasons:

a. It is a lot easier to drive traffic to a site that contains all applicable information rather than giving out lengthy eBay links.
b. You can advertise a website.
c. This allows for direct sales
d. Provides a place where people can view the entire inventory

The site has been up for a little over 2 months and the inventory dates back to 1990. I think it is fair to say that if this was a true business, letting items sit for 15 years then waiting until 2005 to create a sales campaign wouldn't make much sense. As far as marketing....why wouldn't I? I'm not going to be able to get people to buy the items if they don't know about them.

I appreciate where you are coming from but you don't know me or my situation.
