Championship!!!!

Seven pounds lighter but seemingly with the same pitching repertoire from the good old days, Byung-Hyun Kim returned to Bank One Ballpark on Monday for the first time since his trade to Boston on May 29, 2003.
"I didn’t really have any thoughts before I got here, but when I walked in the stadium it felt like I was back home again,’’ Kim said through an interpreter.
Kim, who spent four-plus seasons with the D-Backs after being promoted to the majors two months into the 1999 season, still holds the team record for appearances (243), and his 70 saves ranks No. 2 behind Matt Mantei (74) in team history.
Memories?
"Too many,’’ Kim said. "Not only from the World Series. But this is the place where everything started for me in the States."
Kim was expected back with Boston for exhibition games April 1-2 this year, but following a poor spring that included clubhouse criticism for a seeming failure to fit in, he was traded to the Rockies for catcher Charles Johnson and a minor league pitcher on March 30.
Kim has given up one run and one hit in five innings with the Rockies, and scouts have clocked him at 92 mph, within a mph or two of his best.

Lance Cormier was recalled from Triple-A Tucson to replace Oscar Villarreal, who was diagnosed with a slight tear in the right rotator cuff after undergoing an MRI Monday morning.
"It never changes. Every time you get the call, it is a great feeling,’’ said Cormier, who joined the D-Backs for two days last June 18 and for the rest of the season on July 24.
Cormier started the season opener April 7 for the Tucson Sidewinders but will be used with the D-Backs in relief, Arizona manager Bob Melvin said, calling Cormier a pitcher who could supply multiple innings.
Villarreal will not pick up a ball for two weeks, trainer Paul Lessard said, and Melvin said Villarreal could miss between two weeks and a month.
Greg Aquino also was given an MRI for his irritated ulnar nerve on Monday afternoon, but the results were not immediately available.
SHORT HOPS
For the second day in a row, Jose Cruz Jr. was a late scratch after being pencilled into the starting lineup because of a strained lower back and was given an MRI. . . .
Luis Terrero and Matt Kata are the only position players who have not started a game. Melvin said Terrero would have started in center field Monday had the Rockies thrown a left-hander. . . .
Luis Gonzalez was struck in the head by an errant throw from Brian Bruney while shagging balls in the outfield during batting practice. "I’m fine. Nothing but a headache,’’ Gonzalez said. . . .
Shawn Green wore a protective pad on his right knee after being hit by a pitch from Scott Erickson in the second inning Saturday. . . .
Darren Oliver’s minor league contract with Tucson includes a clause that enables him to ask for his release after 30 days.
