D-Backs Offer Deal to Joba Chamberlain

In addition, the Diamondbacks have offered a one-year deal to right-hander Joba Chamberlain for close to $3 million, a source told ESPN's Buster Olney. Chamberlain was 2-1 with a 4.93 ERA for the New York Yankees last season.

All Chaimberlain has going for him is his name. If not for the hype of several years ago attached then he would be looking at a near minimum deal. He is a fat, out of shape pitcher with poor command who's arm strength is not what is was when he had the hype.
