Am I the only one that thinks our DT ROTATION is set, and that we won't take a DT in the first round?

I still like Robertson, but not as much as Newman or Suggs. Or Leftwich.

Do you think that the DT rotation isn't going to be added to, because the Cards don't think they need anyone else, or that the Cards don't need anyone else, so the rotation is set. Those are very different questions.

On the first question, I say that the Cards need someone else at DT, desperately.

I like Suggs more than anyone in the draft for the Cards. If Newman is truly the best player in the draft, as some are saying, then we need to take him.

As for Leftwich, I have only this to say...

Pay attention, people! We have our QB of the future, and, like it or not, his name is Josh McCown. They said it when we drafted him as the 3rd QB off the board last year, and they said it the day that we signed Blake.

I give you my Kerouac 9's LOCK OF THE DRAFT: We will not draft a QB in the first four rounds. You can take that to the bank. Maybe next year, if McCown looks like the next Gio Carmazzi, but not this year.

Reading the old tea leaves once again -

- Cards spend time with Robertson at Combine.

- Jurecki keeps boosting DT Kevin Williams.

- Jets reported looking to package their #13 and #21 to trade up.

- Cards rumored to consider trading down if Suggs not there.

Logical conclusion - Either Cards would take Suggs or - even if they traded down - would use one of their 2 first round picks on a defensive lineman - Robertson, Kennedy, Williams or - who knows? McDougle?

And - Henderson could represent a better value at #21 as well. (Heck! I like him at #13!)

lol on Lefty.

I think they think they might like the 4 1/2 they have.
Bell, Davis, Tanner, Bryant, (Dwyer).

Now that I look at it, that's insane. Nevermind.

You know that reminds me of something that happened that that stupid "choose your seat day" "minicamp" last season.

First, I had Kwamie autograph my Upper Deck card as Kwamie "The Swami's Cousin" Lassiter, and he did it. That was tight.

Second, I wandered over to the 90s players (DL, DT), and was rapping with those guys, because no one wanted to talk to 'em (Wendell wasn't in camp). I had played a lot of Madden with my boy Mark, and we'd started referring to Bell, whenever he made the rare play, as "For Whom the Bell Tolls." So, flush off my success with Kwamie, I asked Marcus to sign his name as "For Whom the Bell Tolls" on that dumb "know who your Cardinals are" sig sheet. He didn't know what that meant. Someone that was next to him (it was probably Fred Wakefield, he was white), said, "Dude, it's from a Metallica song." I walked away laughing.

So much for college "educations" for football players.
