Cardinals | Big Red Had Gastric Problems and is Day To Day
Mon, 15 Oct 2007 13:37:16 -0700

Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals Mascot Big Red (gastric issues) felt clogged up at about the six minute mark of the team's Week 6 game and is considered day-to-day for Week 7. However, with the huge egg laid from that point on, signs point to Big Red having a full recovery now that the egg has passed. He will likely show up for Week 7, barring any further gastric egg related issues.

Injuries happen, you can count on it. I don't think this is exceptionally bad luck.

I thought the depth of our roster looked very poor at the end of preseason. I'll admit, the guys that have stepped in have done way better than I expected. I do think you can reach a tipping point though. Hopefully, I continue to be wrong.

Wilson getting hurt trying to run down Williams on a play everyone gave up on frustrates me.

Is it really just a matter of luck, that some teams are injury riddled year in and year out, while others suffer far fewer?

Better conditioning? or?

Unbelievable..........

Even our Mascot is day-to-day due to an injury.

My doctor told me that I should take it easy the next couple of days due to the stress the cardinals have been causing me. Can Darren Urban post that. on

Well, you can see why passing this egg laid him up:

It was a pretty big egg.

If Wilson can't go and we've already lost Francisco for three weeks or more, many of you will get your wish this Sunday and see Rolle play safety. He'll have to. We have no other choice.

If a team that's fat and poorly conditioned, as the Cards were, is the secret to preventing injuries, then I guess you're onto something.
