Dansby will get $6.5 million dollars to sign as the Dbacks beat the deadline and sign the #1 overall pick out of Vandy

Good news for DBack fans.

Now I just hope he comes to Hillsboro for a few weeks so I can see him play.

So he'll be traded a year from today to offload one of our albatross contracts to get some lightbulbs in return.

I've read that management wasn't all in favor of Swanson. It took whomever was running the draft and another official to convince TLR and the rest of management that Swanson was their guy. So seeing as though TT wasn't picked by TLR as he let someone else run last year's draft, there may not be any connection between Swanson & TLR. Isn't Hill on the payroll next year at $12M....uh oh!!!!!!!

LOL... Ya never know... But I'd be shocked if TLR had no input on the selection of Swanson. I mean, it's not like they discovered they had the #1 pick hours before the draft. They had been planning their strategy for more than a year. As CBO, I would think TLR was very involved in developing that strategy.

Fortunately, Dansby is protected for one year from being traded, so hopefully Hill's contract is gone by then. This saves the D-Backs from itself.

He'll be traded to Cleveland for Johnny Manziel.

Heard today that he was hit in the head in extended spring training and his pro debut is being delayed because of it.

I think that actually happened 3-4 weeks ago?? I think I recall the story was that he was hit in the face!

First I heard of it, but it does look like is was a while back. Looks like he is still having concussion issues from it.
