I'd say losing Pang was a huge loss for ESPN, however I just remembered the Network isn't bringing hockey back..

Regardless, Connecticut's loss is Arizona's gain

He might have an "escape clause" of sorts. I can't remember the guy's name, but he was the color guy for the Rangers, and also worked some of the games for CBC (and ESPN/TSN?). I don't know, its been so long the memories are blurring together.

I think he was on FOX when they had the NHL, but that was a long time ago. I dont remember him pulling double duty with any station recently, but he very well could have.

Davidson does Rangers games and has a show on FSNY, plus he is usually on the Satellite Hotstove during Hockey Night in Canada. Or at least this was still the case the last time we had hockey...
