Davidson clips HPU in men's soccer

Aug. 27—DAVIDSON — Davidson defeated the High Point University men's soccer team 3-1 in the season opener for both sides Thursday night at Alumni Stadium. Ashton Perkins netted HPU's goal, scoring off a rebound in the 82nd to cut the Wildcats lead to 2-1.
