Doucet and Iwebema? REALLY? If we didn't already have Quan and Fitz, I'd like the Doucet pick fine, but if we needed anything at WR, we needed SPEED. Yes, I realize I'm saying NEED and I'm a BPA guy, but I think BPA met need with either Avril or Choice. Both are just as good of players, IMO, and we can really use them. Iwebema? This kid sounds like a major, major reach in the 4th. I don't like it. Never played up to potential. Injuries. Hearing character concerns. That pick SUCKS.

Man, what a killer. Our first day was hot, and now we're choking on day two. Ugh.

i think our offense will be slower this year,if that's possible. They're productive but there's no gamebreakers, something they were supposedly going to address.

No kidding! Our RB situation scares the bejesus out of me (nothing behind an aging Edge) and we don't have any speed outside. Zoiks!

Despite that we still scored a VERY good 25 points a game. Our D was the problem Im not worried.

Thanks for pointing out that the slow, plodding Card O... scored over 400 points, and was the only team that did... who didn't make the playoffs.

The O is fine. My only concern is an injury to Edge. But now we have Hightower so I can breathe easy! :D

For the record, I really like the Doucet pick. JMHO. Sweet Christmas, people! He was supposed to go in the first round.

Offense was the problem (mostly) in the one game I saw last year. In Tampa. But I agree with the sentiment of improving the defense.

Doucet was a terrific pick. I'd bet anyone's house that by this time next year, we'll all be saying "What a great pick!" Love the kid. A gamer who came through in some of the biggest pressure cookers that college football offers.

I love the Doucet pick, will more than replace Johnson. I would rather us have taken Tashard Choice in Round #4 and Barry Richardson in 5, DaJuan Tribble in 6 and take another DL in Round 7.

We signed Robinson to a 2 yr deal, we have Smith, drafted Campbell, signed LaBoy, now we have the Iowa guy who has stuggled to stay healthy, and Harrington. Berry and Okeafor are probably strictly OLB's now because they would only add to the logjam of the DL.

The Doucet pick was ********. Yeah, he's a higher-rated player (never, EVER saw him as a 1st rounder), but why not take a higher-rated player like Avril AT A POSITION THAT CAN HELP US!!! I love drafting for depth at DE and CB because we needed depth AND needed possible help starting, and both of those guys can give us MORE than a starter already in place if they pan out. Even if Early pans out, he will not be a starter. If we take Avril and he pans out, he's starting...clearly. I am NOT saying Doucet is a bad player or a bad 3rd round pick. He IS a good 3rd round pick....just not for us. Ugh.

You'd rather see Breaston or Urban as our #3?

Thank you! We have plenty of guys to play LBer rigth now. #3 WR was hurting.

And I get accused of wanting to draft for need? That is the most anti-BPA post I've seen in a while. Yeah, we have lots of volume at OLB, but IMO not a ton of talent. We could get by for a year on it, probably. Why risk it? We had a solid OLB talent fall to us and we passed to take a #3 WR that doesn't even have game-breaking speed; in other words, not the WR we were looking for. I like that we have Doucet, because he is good, but I don't like who we had to pass on to take him.

WHoever said we were looking for a WR with game breaking speed? People on this board have said it. I have never heard Graves or Whis say it EVER!

They did make the comments that they would like that game changing speed available at RB.

So whos to say they even want a speed burner?

I personally love the Cardinal draft. Our 1st 3 picks all have 1st round talent. Campbell & Doucett have already displayed those skills. The Cardinal coaching staff is confident that they will return to those standards. Kenny Iwebema has the physical tools to be a major contributor on our D. Some have ridiculed the selections of Hightower & Harrington, but mostly out of ignorance. Hightower is a small school dynamo with a great attitude & a great motor. He is the perfect compliment to Edge, not because of speed, but because of style. He'll hit the hole hard, which is exactly what Grimm is looking for. Harrington is old school & hits a ton. I'll venture to say that our 1st 3 picks will eventually be pro-bowlers & 2 of our last 3 picks will be solid contributors. Until proven otherwise, I give the Cardinals FO a big thumbs up!!

What PACardsFan said.

This was not one of your stronger NFL drafts......look at the WR's for example.

Stout you echo my major concern in this whole thing. We are one hit away on James to give us no running game what so ever. We had a better chance of lucking into a CB in the lower rounds than a RB like Mendenhall. How does a guy like Mendenhall end up on a good team already like Pittsburg? You do not have to be a GM or coach to see the big need in a RB. James will give us all he has but he cannot run every play and his backups have proven they cannot run. James is on the downside of 30 when RB's go downhill. That first pick reminds me of the old Cards.

The one thing that a lot of people forget.

We're a different team now, we are drafting differently.

These 2nd day choices aren't expected to go in and start as we have been used to. These players are supposed to be solid back-ups in limited playing time in the first year or two, and hopefully by then they have developed into starting caliber players.

Think the Steelers. No matter which LB or OL that they lost, they already had his replacement on the bench.
