Premium season ticket holders will have the right to liscence seats this year creating 99 million dollars in revenue. Thus making room for the DBacks to sign or make trade deadline moves if nessesary as soon as this year. It will be in the AZ Republic tomorrow morning with all the details.

Hmm...this is just a way of screwing the fans who pay for premium seats, to be more competitive.

I guess for casual fans like me, this will be good, but if I were paying for the premium seats I'd be pissed.

Reading the article, this is great stuff. These aren't guys out to make a profit; they just want their team to be good, which is awesome. This totally changes the ability of the d-backs.

I know that's a lot of money, but at the same time, it brings in a lot of money, it will keep the team competitive and relatively together for the most part (or at least how the brain trust wants it).

Sure the BEST seats will be expensive.

But then again there are PLENTY of GREAT seats for cheaper, and plenty of GOOD seats for a reasonable cost, and there are more seats for CHEAP AS HELL.

Plus, it sure doesn't affect the seats from behind channel 3 and 34.

I agree it sucks to have a raise in prices, but overall ANYONE can get a ticket for cheap. Standing room only, etc at the cheapest. People who want to see a game can, people who want the premium seats can pay for it. Sure sitting behind the plate is awesome, but being behind homeplate for a 60-102 team in 2005 or 2006 would suck compared to what we can do now.

I like the idea, coupled with the selling of the shares this team is going to be a GOOD team for a LONG time. We have a good brain trust, and now we can spend like the bottom of the top tier guys....not like the yanks, but enough to where we'll be at least competitive for the most part year after year.
