They are the BP jerseys. Apparently Gonzo suggested they wear the gold snake 'D' jerseys to switch up their karma, rather than the usual turquoise 'A' jerseys. I always preferred the 'D' logo anyhow and was unhappy when they decided to favor the 'A' logo a few years ago.

And after all - once it became clear that the Suns couldn't win in the orange road unis early in the season, they never wore them for a game again.

In the NBA there is a rule that once you adopt a third jersey you must wear them for a certain number of games. You can wear them more if you want. The SUns wore them during that east coast death march, fulfilled the min. required number and as you said that was it.

Clarification I should have made: they are used for both Spring Training and Batting Practice.

2-0 in wearing the bp jerseys
Creative, team-spirited ideas like switching jerseys is one of the many reasons why Gonzo deserves to be our All Star representative again.

That, plus leading the D'backs in RBI's and Runs (I think he is).

It's funny how many fans wanted to write off Gonzo. He's still our best all-around hitter and the face of the D'backs.

Johnson and Schilling have come and gone, but Gonzo should be our first retired jersey (speaking of jerseys) when he does retire -- which I hope isn't soon.
