I figured it'd start it since nobody else in on the ball.

BoMel is up to his same old tricks. Conor Jackson is riding a 10 game hit streak with xb hits in his last six starts and is riding the bench in favor of Tony Clark and his .590 OPS. To add insult to injury, Conor got a day off only four days ago.

We could've used Conor's offense so far today, dumb move by Melvin. I went to the gym so I haven't watched and I'm going to miss the rest but it's 2-0 Pirates and we are agaisnt Ian Snell!!! I hope Tony Clark can pick up his play soon.

This is ugly. Our offense is nowhere to be found and Melvin puts in Andy Green to pinch hit???? I'm hoping CoJack asked for the day off

PNC park looks freakin' awesome. I've only been to 4 big league parks, but from the photos I've seen...PNC just looks like it could be the best.

Either way, Webb pitches tomorrow, so hopefully thatll be a win.

I agree. #1 park I want to see. Trying to work out a way that I can check it out, and a couple of other MW parks.

Must sees on the trip:

Pit
Cin
StL
Wrigley (great park......my favorite so far is Dodger....but this is great)

Wrigley blows Dodger Stadium outta the water. By far the best I've been to. Not a bad seat in the house and the fans are great.

Valverde made it a bit interesting in the 9th, but closes it out. Webb still gets it done when he had less than his best and improves to 6-0. Lots of bloop singles in key situations for the Dbacks today, but they count just the same. Arizona goes for the series win tomorrow against Oliver Perez, a guy they've lit up a few times in recent years.

Webb goes 6-0! Big props to him and Tracy, Green and Papa Grande. Let's get a win and take the series tomorrow.

Ill be there for my first time on Friday to see the Dbacks. I've heard pretty mixed things about it so far. It looks cool, open to the city. But I've heard its a bit cramped, especially the concourse.

So true. It is funny that most Cubs fans I know want the Cubs to lose so it is easier to get tickets.

I went to the Cubs/Cardinal game last summer at Wrigley when D. Lee pointed his bat at LaRussa in the Cardinals dugout. Benches cleared and the whole bit, it was awesome! We scalped tickets for a hundred a piece!!! A far cry from scapling ticks for Dbacks games (20 bucks can get you 20th row seats). Every fan has some kind of Cubs gear on and they are all very into the game the entire time. They stand and cheer during 3-2 counts when a Cubbie is at bat and do the same when one of their pitchers has the opposition in an 0-2 hole. They also do several different chants thorughout the game. I'm just so used to BOB and it's utter silence that experiencing a stadium/crowd like that is a memory I'll never forget.

I've been to Dodger Stadium, Wrigley, Commiskey, Anaheim Stadium, Candlestick, and Quallcom Stadium for MLB games and Wrigley was by far the best. Commiskey was pretty cool because I got to watch the Big Hurt in his prime and Bo Jackson was also on the team the game I saw. My dad used to go to the Old Commiskey when he was on business trips and said it was better than Wrigley. I wish I could have seen a game there.

Has anyone been to Yankee stadium or Fenway??? I am really trying to get to those stadiums since it is only a matter of time before their gone

I went to both of them in the summer of 1994. I'm not a fan of either the Red Sox or the Yankees, but walking into both of them and seeing those fields was quite a thrill. I was really surprised by how exciting it was. They just OOZE with tradition and memories.

At Fenway, I wound up with a seat where part of my view was blocked by a post at certain angles. It just added to the "old time" feel though!

I also went to see the Orioles in Camden Yards, the Cardinals at Busch and the Rangers at their new ballpark on that trip.

Erg....tomorrows game in StL might get rained out too, its expected to rain there. Ill be pissed if it does.

About stadiums....

I've been to Kauffman Stadium in KC, and while it was pretty empty and not a great fan atmosphere, the stadium itself was very nice. Very pretty, good site lines, easy to get around. My only qualm was that the "view" is of an interstate...not ideal.

It sucks because instead of having a travel day on the 19th, we have to play. That means that we will play every day but one from May 26 through June 25  . Lets hope we're playing good ball during that stretch

I have been to Fenway and Yankee Stadium many times since I'm from the New York area and those two stadiums are in the top-5. I would put Fenway #1. From your post it looks like you have not been to either stadium in 12 years. I was at Fenway two years ago and the place has had a lot of changes, all for the better.

No, I haven't been back since. We might go see my wife's Dad late this summer, if so, I'd hope to go to Fenway. I know it's been reworked a lot including taking out those stanchions in the lower deck. I'm just glad it appears those plans to build another stadium for the Red Sox died. That would've been a shame.
