What does this me for Luis Terrero? I think this spells the end of his time with the organization. He hasn't proven he can play in the bigs and seems like he will be one of those guys caught between Triple-A and the Majors.

I'm not sure, but Terrero might be out of options this season...?

Luis Terrero is indeed out of options and will most likely serve as the 5th outfielder this year. Mike Gosling was designated for assignment to make room on the 40 man roster, which comes as a bit of a surprise to me. I expected somebody like Doug Slaten to get dropped before Gosling.

Is it really worth keeping Terrero around as a 5th outfielder? Wouldn't this team be better served to carry an extra pitcher and if there is an outfield injury they can call up Quentin or Young or play tracy there?

Don't know if this has been posted. The Dbacks dumped Gosling.

I love it!

Whoa...it looked like $25,000, not 525,000 on my screen. My eyes are failing me. :(

Quite the shame because Terrerro's biggest pitfall was his lack of maturity. He had everything else seemingly down pat.

:hohum: signing. Nice for a platoon player. I don't think we have to sign superstars, but a part time outfielder when our pitching staff really sucks right now? C'mon. Bring me some arms! I am getting impatient!!

Yes, we've seen it over and over throughout the years.

I remember Richie (call me "Dick") Allen from decades ago. 'Could have been one of the all-time great hitters, but his head got in the way.

Common sense and positive thinking are just as important as physical talents. ('Hear that, Coby?)

That's why someone like Craig Counsell (limited talent, but a tremendous work ethic) helps bring his teams championships and makes him a much more effective leadoff hitter than he should be (when his teams needs it).

IMO we would be better off by dumping him as well. He has never shown THAT much talent, sort of a burst here and there but nothing consistent. Plus mentally he's obviously a mess.
