It didn’t take the Diamondbacks long to find a replacement for Mark Reynolds.
The Diamondbacks agreed to terms with veteran free-agent Melvin Mora on a one-year deal worth a little more than $2 million. News of the agreement first was reported by Ken Rosenthal of Fox

Mora hit .285 with a .358 on-base and .421 slugging for the Rockies last season, numbers that are about league average when adjusted for Coors Field.
Mora, 39 in February, could split time at third base with recently signed Geoff Blum.
Mora is a career .278 hitter in parts of 12 seasons in the majors, most of it spent with the Baltimore Orioles. His best season came in 2004 when he hit .340 with a .419 on-base and .562 slugging.
According to advanced defensive statistics available at billjamesonline.net, Mora has rated between mediocre and below average as a third baseman in recent seasons.
One thing Mora figures to do much, much better than his predecessor: Put the bat on the ball. He has struck out more than 100 times in a season just twice.
Earlier in the day, the Diamondbacks shipped Reynolds, who has struck out more than 200 times three times, to Baltimore in exchange for pitchers David Hernandez and Kam Mickolio.
