This guy was cut by Bobby Cox. I am not saying that he is not a good player, because he is, but he was cut because he gave attitude and refused to go into a non-save situation, even with his team fighting for the wildcard and playoff spot. I dont know if that is an attitude we need. Not to mention, now we have 5 RHP that are pretty similar coming out of the bullpen throwing Fastball, Slider or splitter in Valverde, Pena, Cruz, Lyon, and now Wickman too.... CAN WE GET A LEFTY OTHER THAN SLATEN???

man I watch the braves I was born in georgia and am a pretty big fan of theirs but I just dont like wickman he has a horrible attitude and could be a big locker room cancer if he doesnt get his way. Plus I never like a player whos suppose to be a reliever but refuses to come in sometimes for a game saving situation. Hope he helps out some here if Cruz injury is serious but I really doubt it

Wickman came up big in his first appearance. I don't think his attitude will be an issue here. He approached the team and asked if he could help out. He is ineligible for the post season, so he is really just looking to help this young team make the playoffs.

He did his part yesterday. Good for him.
