According to Jon Heyman on Twitter.

The good, bad and ugly on this..

Good:

Nice numbers last year (2.03 ERA with 7.8 K/9, 3.0 BB/9 and a 45.9% ground ball rate)

He adds further depth to Arizona's improving bullpen

As numbers indicate, he's primarily a ground ball pitcher, which suits him well at Chase.

Bad:

A left hammy strain kept his IP last season less than usual, and at 42 the healing time isn't going to be quick

Ugly:

Basically, a one year rental.. Then again, most BP arms are.

Saito is a great addition, he add all offseason to heal the hamstring I'm not too worried as long as he doesn't re-aggrevate it. Our pen is looking to be very deep this year, I love it.

There's really no downside to this deal. If I recall, he was injured off and on last year. If he comes back strong this year, great! He's one of the better relievers in baseball. If not? Oh well. You've got plenty of talent in the pen.
