Where: Jacobs Field.

Pitching matchups: Cliff Lee (7-3, 3.09 ERA) vs. Brad Halsey (4-4, 3.91) tonight at 7:05; Scott Elarton (3-2, 5.14) vs. Brandon Webb (7-2, 3.24) Saturday at 7:05 p.m.; and Jake Westbrook (3-9, 4.79) vs. Shawn Estes (5-4, 4.08) Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

Series: Indians have lost four of six interleague games against Arizona.

Indians update: Entering Thursday night's game against Colorado with a 9-2 record in interleague play. They'd won eight of their last nine games.

Diamondbacks update: They took two out of three from the White Sox before Thursday's off day. They outscored Chicago, 24-17. Luis Gonzalez (10 HRs, 47 RBI), Troy Glaus (16, 43) and Shawn Green (9, 36) provide power. Starting pitching is good, but the bullpen has struggled since losing closer Brandon Lyon.

Injuries: Indians - Outfielder Juan Gonzalez (right hamstring), pitcher Jason Stanford (left elbow) are on the disabled list. Diamondbacks - Pitchers Lyon (right elbow), Oscar Villarreal (right rotator cuff) and outfielder Luis Terrero (left groin) are on the DL. Infielder Alex Cintron (left wrist) and outfielder Jose Cruz (back) are day to day.

We're getting killed again. Was at work and didn't see the game but it looks like Halsey struggled with the help of poor defense and again the bullpen couldn't stop the bleeding.

13-6 Tribe.

Koplove and Medders up, Ortiz to the DL and Herges designated for assignment. At least I think I heard that right. How does Vargas keep making the cut?

Masters of the Obvious.

What is it with useless baseball facts and statistics?

Shulte just siad, "Gonzo has got most of his RBI's with runners in scoring position."

Is this surprising?

Does that make Daigle the closer in Tucson?

Herges and Ortiz? Good riddance. I wonder who's going to take his spot in the rotation.

Vargas is, Mao - Vargas.

My guess is Bulger will be closer at least for now. I can't find any transactions indicating moves, at least not yet. Since the Minors have their AS break shortly, perhaps they'll wait.

Only real bright spot of the series was how deep into the games Estes and Webb went. I wish we could play with those AL rules more often, they really help keep our bullpen out of the game.

Pretty rough weekend for the Snakes all the way around. I just have a question in regards to Royce Clayton pitch hitting for Troy Glaus? First is obvious Clayton & Hitting go together like Apple Pie & Onions, where was Terrero? Don't get me wrong I like Royce's defense & arm but when your cleanup hitter gets injured in the 8th inning & your down by a run why have Royce hit?

Terrero is on the DL.
