Livan Hernandez takes on the struggling Edwin Jackson (ERA over eight) in the first game of the series tomorrow at Chase Field.
The only teams currently with a record over .500 still on the schedule for the Diamondbacks are Atlanta, Milwaukee, plus three division rivals in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Colorado.
well the way the devils are playing I guess your watching the dbacks now nasserwhy do we always struggle against the drays ugh...
No, I started playing Fight Night Round 3...both games were hard to watch.well the way the devils are playing I guess your watching the dbacks now nasserwhy do we always struggle against the drays ugh...
Holy crap, the team just bounced back with a decent sweep of the Orioles and is right in the thick of a playoff hunt and you are moaning over one game and are already willing to call it a sweep? Talk about a knee jerk reaction.Where is the "Why doesn't anybody go to DBacks games?" thread? This is exactly why. Why would anybody pay to watch this? You can nearly count on a sweep for the Rays because the DBacks offense is pathetic and they nearly always make terrible pitchers look like Cy Young candidates. Happens time and time again. It is barely worth my time let alone actually paying money.
Two runs off one of the worst pitchers in the majors.![]()
Jackson looked pretty good today. His fastballs were hitting the mid-upper 90's throughout the innings he pitched. He's still got potential...
I was at the game today. Pretty disgusted. I left after the Diamondbacks were down 6-2 (First time I've ever left during a game).
DBacks have still never beaten the DRays!
He came in with an ERA over 8.00. When the Diamondbacks are not hitting, they will make any pitcher look like Cy Young.
This is a big homestand and they need to take the next two against Tampa.
Trust me, I know his ERA. He's pitching awful this year. But 3-4 years ago the guy was dubbed an upcoming ace pitcher. He looked good last night. His velocity was there.
The Diamondbacks are of course going to be a team that can't manage to score runs. Look at our payroll. We have no big names in our lineup. Our pitching staff carries us. You can't expect a team without a big RBI guy to be a true run producing team. Who's our big RBI guy? Byrnes? Pretty pathetic if you ask me...
It just seems like the DBacks are having a hard time getting out of their own way this series. Howell struggles mightily, walks the bases full, walks in a run, and then Young and Snyder strike out swinging at balls! What is going on?
Hudson with the Golden Sombrero.
Twice with the bases loaded.
And he's our clutch hitter?
Pathetic!
