Nice to see the team able to scratch out a win on a night where Webb didnt have his best stuff last night. Tonight the Dbacks are up 2-0 as Byrnes hits a solo HR in the 5th off of Peavy.

Chad Tracy makes it back to back solo homers after he smokes one off the very top of the right field foul pole.

3-0 Dbacks

Home run by Giles cuts the lead to 3-2 in the 6th.

Valverde closes it out, and your Diamondbacks are now all alone atop the NL West standings :fans:

It was nice being able to watch both the Dbacks and Suns win tonight at a sports bar. Very cool, all while watching the NLs most annoying fans (Cardinals) be saddened by their loss in the same bar.

Bullpen pitched seven innings and only allowed two runs. What a difference an offseason makes.

Our bullpen is 2nd in NL ERA. We are trailing only St. Louis and we are sneaking up on 'em especially after last night. Grimsley has been very impressive considering how many inninigs he is called on to pitch. Lets hope they don't wear down

I hate to say it but after watching Cruz pitch this first inning, I miss Russ Ortiz. Although he sucked he could at least get through 3 innings.

9-0 Padres and the Dbacks haven't even had a chance to bat. Melvin is stuck because our bullpen is maxed out. 4 walks, 3 doubles, 2 hit batters in 2/3 of an inning

The Comeback Kids strike again. This team seems to prefer to be behind early.

Wow

How can pro baseball teams give up 9 runs one inning, then the other gets 8 runs in another inning. Can anyone get some outs? I'll take another 8 run inning for AZ before it's over, of course! ;)

Then Vizciano gets 2 runners on with a walk and then hits Mike Cameron then gives up a 3 run HR to Giles. Ah well

At least they made it interesting

It's not over yet. The Diamondbacks still have three innings.

Are Brennaman and Grace blabbin about starting pitching to sell a trade for a starter?

When doesn't Thom whine? If the Diamondbacks are losing by one run or ten, he is always crying. The guy expects the team to win 162 games.
