Ok - to get this thread off properly, I think we should all take a stab at the number of runs the Sox will put up when it's all said and done... I will set the over/under at 8 runs per game (24 on total).
Take your shot!

Well... Corbin is pitching Saturday... Delgado goes tonight and while he's been surprisingly good, I really wouldn't be surprised to see the Sox tee off tonight... And then Sunday we have McCarthy who, alone and take care of the over!! :)

We will not score more than 5 runs in the series.

The whole series? I thought you were talking about the first inning.

Didi with the Golden Sombrero!
It looks like we wound up with a mediocre SS -- marginal hitter, spectacular fielder (on spectacular plays) and careless fielder (on too many routine plays).

The SS position is not locked up for the future. It's too bad. It was fun looking forward to Didi's future.

He seems to have lost his confidence.

Holy overreaction Batman.

He's just a rookie.

What the heck is up with Ross? He's been tearing it up rally since the Allstar break! And Nieves continues to simply hit...
Delgado wasn't great, but once again he was good enough...
Surprising win...

Tonight was pure motivation for Ross to embarrass his former club.

People that get paid $6 million to play baseball should be motivated everyday.

Unfortunately, the opposite is usually the case in MLB. It's the guys who are Making 400k who play with the most heart and passion and prepare like their next game is the last in The Show.

As I like to say, it's the starving lions who hunt.

Oh, you mean like Miguel Mendoza used to play?

And Cody Ross needs to make sure he has actually hit a home run before he does the bat flip and goes into his trot. His home run last night cleared the fence by about 6 inches and he acted like he hit it 500 feet. This isn't the first time either.

That's another reason why Paul Goldschmidt is now a superstar. On his HR's, he tears around the bases until he sees that it is gone, just in case it is not.

I know he's hot, but I have never liked Cody Ross as a ballplayer, going back to his Giants days. Maybe it is his boyish grin and hiking his pants legs up.

In his defense, however, he went to Gibson and asked if he is just a platoon player and Gibby said 'no', then started playing him more. So, who is the captain of the ship?

But I thought Didi was the next Jeter? Towers sucks. Also, AJ, Ross and Parra need to be in the outfield every day.
