Yes, Batwoman is gay. Of course she is. If you're gonna have your first gay superhero, it most definitely must a chick because that's hot. ;)

Sorry for no linkie. Am at work and can't access video streaming. Sad day.

I thought the first gay super heroes were batman and robin?

:D: Dr. Fredric Wertham:

BTW, that may be the geekiest comic book thing I've ever posted. I think it's probably more lost on most folks than a discussion of red kryptonite.

Ha ha. I had to look up the name, but I knew about the Comic Code.

What was the name of the book? "The Seduction of Innocence?"

I remember a pretty thorough article in Wizard about it back when it was just comic magazine.

Yep. First gay super hero was a french canadian.

Was his name Crazy Canuck? BTW, that guy has been really cranky lately. Hence why I chose to post this here, unless he does a search on his name. In that case, this whole post was sent to me in a PM from HeavyB3, including this part about me explaining it

We really should make sure that gets its own thread. Sort of a big deal... ya know, if it didn't turn out to be the stunt it will.

Yeah, they're not killing Bruce Wayne for good. Trust me. Just like Marvel is not killing Steve Rogers (Captain America) for good.

You'd think at least fanboys would have learned their lesson after they "killed" superman...hell, that got enough mainstream pub that the average joe should have learned their lesson.

Even the most successful attempt to keep a lynchpin character dead has recently ended after more than 20 years...they just brought (or will be bringing in the next few weeks...I haven't been following it) Barry Allen back, the first Flash to wear the now-familiar red costume (there was a golden-age flash before him, Jay Garrick, who wears the WWI-era helmet with little wings).

You raised the level of geek in this thread exponentially with this one

I do what I can.

Actually, I had another paragraph typed out about the death of Barry Allen and the series he died in (Crisis on Infinite Earths) and the impact of that issue on the DC universe, but it was a little much.

Yah, my sarcasm was off on that last post. I was thinking "Death of" when I wrote it.

But your uber-geek post did get me thinking about it and I think you're right. Allen may have the longest death streak so far out of A-listers. Just throwing names out there...

Hal Jordan stayed dead for a little while.

Bucky's a second tier character they just couldn't leave in the dirt.

Did they get around to bringing Jason Todd back?

At least Barbra Gordan's still paralyzed (that feels a little weird to type).

Ben Reily?

....

Friggin comics.

He came back as the Red Hood and then as Red Robin.

...

I refuse to acknowledge that (not your statement, just that they brought him back).

In my heart, this is how I'll remember them:
