I worked with Michael Gray, who played Billy in the original series, at Macy’s 15 years ago. We sold suits. Guy was hilarious. Had a lot of stories.

can't believe no one has made Superhero meets Big before.

This looks entertaining.

I couldn’t figure out how Zachary Levi of all people got cast as a superhero, and now I know. And it’s perfect.

This. When I first heard about his casting a big question mark came to mind. I loved him in Chuck and he is unrecognizable in the Thor movies. I thought...well if he can do the Thor movies maybe....but I still had questions.

Then after this trailer? I am with you...made perfect sense. Although, I will say in general I am not a fan of turning something into a running joke. It's going to be interesting see if this movie has any real balance.

I hope so. This could be fun.

Holy crap, I had no idea he was in the Thor movies. Just looked it up, you’re right. Completely unrecognizable.

Make the 3, swoop in for a rebound/put back on the missed free throw earning another free throw which puts us at 6/5?

That would be two separate plays plus I heard that Varnson guy is soft on the boards.

What if you just dunked the intentionally missed free throw and got fouled while doing it...and kept repeating that process?

Somebody should do that. Seems pretty easy.

Shazam!

Release date: April 5, 2019 (IMAX)
Studio: New Line Cinema (Warner Bros.)
Director: David F. Sandberg
MPAA Rating: N/A
Screenwriters: Henry Gayden, Darren Lemke
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Adventure

Starring:Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Adam Brody, Djimon Hounsou

Plot Summary: We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

am I the only one a little geeked out to see this??
I wasn't too keen on the comedy aspect but it's getting good reviews. Scored 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. The one thing I don't buy is Stanley Tucci as a villain. I love Tucci but I don't see him as a superhero villain.

I thought Mark Strong is the villain.
