Nothing really new here. The film is more of an homage to Raimi and Romero than anything else, but it still manages to stand on its own.

Probably the bloodiest movie I've seen and definitely the best Norwegian Nazi-zombie movie ever made. Overall it's a pretty good time.

Really? I watched Zombieland again before this movie, and that had more blood in it.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed with Dead Snow. A lot of Evil Dead 2 references, but the filmmakers really messed up by making the "zombies" smart. There really was no need to give them zombie makeup. Could have been Cliffhanger 2. They had the opportunity to go over the top and they totally missed it.

I haven't seen Zombieland yet. I'm not really big into the horror genre so my expectations were pretty low.

Aah, ok. Sorry about that. I guess if you haven't seen a lot of horror movies, then maybe this one would be pretty bloody for you.

Like I said, my biggest disappointment is that they could have gone the way of Evil Dead 2, Zombieland or even Shaun of the Dead, and they didn't (all 3 are far superior to Dead Snow, by the way).

Watch Zombieland as soon as you can! :)

Well, of course Dead Snow isn't as good as those three movies...those are three damn fine movies!

Yeah, I saw a lot of nods towards Evil Dead (going so far as to name the movie within the movie). I didn't mind the zombies being smarter than the average zombie, per se, but I would have liked the Colonel (Herzog?) to be introduced as the on-scene leader sooner. Kind of like seeing him in command of his forces. Yeah, I know he did that at the end, but after the zombies were 'outed', that's when it would have been nice. And the play on the tokens and such was just too understated--if you're going to do it, really sell it.

Yes, I agree that it could have been better. I still thought it was a heck of a lot of fun and better than a lot of the terrible horror films we have to put up with nowadays. It doesn't try to take itself too seriously. I had a blast watching it on Netflix (of course, I'm laid up after surgery lol). Better than a bad remake of a Vincent Price Poe classic lol
