Shows over.

You can only watch crabs in a pot so long. What has given the show longevity is the story of the captains and crew on each boat.

Discovery is suing the Hillstrands, and the Hansen in a show of support left the show. Couple this with Phil Harris's passing and it leaves you with one of the 4 main captain left, which is Capt. Keith of the Wizard.

Done. The show will tank based on this news alone.

All over a one-time spin off that, in all common sense, was probably too much of a good thing, should have never even been considered.

Too bad, was a great show.

The Hansens was a big reason why I watched and I was curious to see if Edgar returned this year. Guess I'll never know. I'm a big Mike Rowe fan, now it looks like he needs more Dirty Jobs. I liked Captain Phil a lot, but I really felt like the show exploited his death a lot in the last couple of shows and that didn't sit right with me.

i don't think they exploited it at all .... i think they did a pretty respectful job of showing it - it was definitely a part of the narrative and it seems that those who were involved with the boat seemed OK with it as well
