Kolb then told King he likes to practice throwing off-balance, which makes all the sense in the world because Kevin Kolb ALWAYS throws off-balance. I'm not sure he's aware that his feet extend beyond his heels.

It is amazing how so much of the time truth is funnier than fiction. Wonderful fun article, only thing I have to question is the fact that Beanie Wells will never make it to the end of the season to run the ball 20 times a game, much less more. Lets face it, we have 2 one legged RBs and 2 QBs who spend more time laying on their back looking at the sky than they do on their feet looking downfield for an open WR. At least we have hope by having a team who can outscore their opponents with their special teams and defense. Like last year, we will all be simply hoping our offense doesn't give up two many turnovers putting our D in unwinnable situations. As long as our offense doesn't beat us, we have a chance in every game.

If we have a really super punter, I might be inclined to wish we punt on 3rd and long each time, rather than risk an interception or sack which puts our punter in even worse field position. On third and long, only bad things can happen with our line. Better to punt and play it safe for field position and to help our D.

I would rather be a losing get down and waller in the mud naked Arizona Cardinal football Club Fan-than- than a winning what ever stupider NFL team that wronger boinks off too.

I think Whisenhunt is a terrific coach with a major blind spot: He thinks the QB position is just like any other, and competition will somehow produce a gem of a starter just because it worked with Warner.

There may be more to this statement than I would like to think there is. This guy may have really nailed how Whiz thinks.

or his QBs suck and his only option is to promote competition and see if one of them shines.

What else should he do, anoint someone the starter and cross his fingers?

Well, he could've identified someone better than Kevin Kolb before trading for him and signing him to a $62 million contract. But he didn't; he fell in love with the sub-mediocrity that was Kevin Kolb.

And then he immediately anointed him the starter and crossed his fingers.

It's amazing that people can somehow imply that Whis might be surprised at the opening of camp that his two quarterbacks are awful.

We have QBs coming and going every year. We need to just keep doing what we are doing until one of them sticks. I am not in favor of wasting a high 1st round pick on another in the near future. I would spend my 1st round picks on D or OL. Reaching for QBs & WRs with mid-1st round picks is never going to instantly change your team. Take the sure things with your 1st, then gamble or reach later on in the draft.

You can post that as often as you like with me, but I was saying it at the time. Sorry, son.

welcome to the club, not many people wanted kolb at all but the best candidates were kolb and orton, orton is now a backup. it is what it is. Maybe you should go into GM roles since you would do so much better than anything they did, son.

Didnt want em, still dont want em but hes all we got so I will be rooting for him and to draft a good QB next year. No more FA rejects.

funny when 32 yr olds run around calling people "son"

"(I assume Manning didn't want to relocate to Arizona because he didn't want to get shot)"

So he moved to Denver?!

Ah...the QB position...some wanted Orton, well he sucks enough too to have never worked out as well. Kolb, Skelton, Orton, and throw in a pile more. The sad truth is that except for a few rare exceptions, you have to find your QB in the draft because nobody is going to let a good QB go once they have them for you to pick them up. We got mega lucky with the Warner scenario.
