I been to only one show this year. Godsmack a couple months ago. Taking my mom for her birthday tonight to see a couple of her fave bands out at Cricket Pavillion.

She just turned 60, but loves Def Leppard. lol
And of course STYX is a nice bonus for classic rock enthusiasts.

Kinda strange to mix a 80's almost "hair band" with a classic 70's band. Oh well...it's all good. Now that I'm thinking about it...maybe the Leppard shouldn't really be considered a typical "hair band". Perhaps that label should just be for the glam dudes like Poison, Warrant, Slaughter, etc.

Anyways...anybody else going tonight?!? Should be a pretty good show!

I wish I were...does that count?

Was at Hysteria out at Compton Terrace back in...'88? Also went to their concert at America West in the early '90's...can't think of the name of the tour...

That album of cover songs Def Leppard just put out was really lame and pretty pointless. I like them less and less with each album. I loved "High and Dry". I was like one of three kids in school that actually knew who they were and listened to them. I had "Pyromania" way before it got really popular and liked it too. But, I never even bought "Hysteria", I hated it.

So, no, I'm not going. But, you have fun! :D

On through the Night and High and Dry were great albums, and Pyromania, even though it took them over the top, was excellent. Hysteria goes on my cheesy as hell shelf, but it still get a spin here and there, just for laughs sake.

Im hot sticky sweet, from my head, to my feet, yeah. HA! Stupid! I love it!

Dont forget to get there on time to see Foreigner!

Pretty darn good show! I had forgotten how many hits Foreigner had back in their day. Geez. Juke Box Hero and Hot Blooded were good live songs! STYX was just a total veteran rock group with great hit songs as well! They are real good in concert!

Def Leppard killed!!! Wow! I only seen them one time back in their heyday (1988). They sounded better today than way back then!

They played all the classics!
Anyone who has ever listened to rock radio the past 20 years would have known almost every song they played.

- Foolin'
- Bringing on the Heartbreak
- Hysteria
- Animal
- Excitable
- Love Bites
- Photograph
- Rocket
- Two Steps Behind
- Pour Some Sugar On Me
- Armegeddon It
- Rock of Ages
- and a few more...

My mom had a blast! Amazingly she knew all the songs! Guess she heard them much too often back when I was kid cranking them out of my bedroom stereo. lol :D

I don't know why but I wasn't really expecting a huge crowd for this show. Couldn't be more wrong. Phoenix never disappoints me at these concerts. Cricket was packed. If I had to guess...probably in the 14,000-16,000 range. Big-time crowd out there! Some of those 80's super groups sure know how to pack 'em in still.

Shock, Glad you & Mom had a good time, some folks here at the office raved about the show too! (Wish I'd gone!) All great bands with or without original members for sure!
