I've had my laptop since December when I completed my Master's Degree, bought it brand new, and today I am sending it with my school's tech guy because it has completely fallen apart. The keys pop off and started to stick, and now the entire keyboard won't work. It also falls into hibernation at the strangest of times, and Real Player isn't working.

I had a Trojan.backdoor virus a few months ago, but I honestly feel that this is just a crappy laptop.

I tried to install Norton System Works, but it wouldn't complete the installation.

My next computer will be a Mac.

Any suggestions? Is there a good company in Arizona that gives good trade value for computers?

That's weird. I'm using the Inspiron 7000 right now that I bought in 1998. It's pretty slow, but I've never had problems with it. I'm thinking about buying a newer, faster one and would still buy a Dell.

Has Dell customer service been any help?

Mine is an 1100. I didn't call customer service, usually I can figure it out with the help of our tech guys.
