Summary for those who missed it? I take it that it was just a rehash of what we've heard, great draft, happy to have Leinart, etc.

Make sure to keep watching the Jay Glazer part right after. He said one of the heads at Tennessee had each Cutler, Young, and Lienhart draw up a play. Your down by 5, a second left, 20 yards out. Young drew up one, Cutler drew up one, then Lienhart drew up 4 (with reasons why if this one does not work, I go to this one, and so on). Said he's a coach on the field, Jeez I am so happy with the pick. Also said Nolan told him if Lienhart came out last year, he still would have drafted Alex Smith. Yeah Right.

Only other thing that stood out was Denny mentioning he knew for a while that he was going after Edge. Him and only one other person knew about it, the night before FA he told his fellow coaches. So he could get him in and signed right away. Pretty funny impression throwing down money, Edge would say more, throw down more, Edge would say more.

yea, even his assistant coaches had no idea they were going after james until the day before free agency.

other things:

Denny was one of the guys at Wilt's 100 pt game.

Had reggie #1 on their board, he had a bad week, it ended up spilling over into the weekend

Leinart was a gift

I heard the same story, except is more like 8 different plays, talking about why he would select the given play depending on which defensive alignment he might see. I was impressed by this. Dude is going to be ready pretty quick, IMHO.

Nolan seems like an intelligent guy. Why would he 'dis his quarterback? If he really believes it, he is a very small minority and he has a job in Houston when and if he leaves Frisco.

I am not sure Leinart goes #1 last year--

Because he didnt declare, we wasnt subject to all the poking and prodding and nitpicking that goes with being draft eligible

He was coming off elbow surgery as well

He very well could have fallen to the Cards at #8

Hmmm...there were only like 5,000 in attendance at that game (in Hershey, PA), but over the years, like 100,000 people have said they were there.

Not trying to be a doubter, but that claim has gotten out of control.

:p

I was home Thursday of last week. ESPN was running a draft special. Some where in the 4 hour program a female reporter was interviewing Lienhart. I thought I would watch in order to find out a little more about this kid. Of course I didn't have any idea he would fall to us.

He took this reporter into the film room. He was showing how he read the field in a given defensive alignment. This was complete with stop, rewind and go. I can't tell you how smart this kid was about the game. He showed excitement in the whole process. I came away thinking, I want to trade up and get this guy. HE WILL BE A GREAT QB in the NFL!

:p Seeing as though it's about 20 minutes from his home town of Harrisburg, PA, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
