Alot was rehash, but he did talk about the O-line, Brown will be RG and they plan to add more guys from the draft to the O-line. Green made the injury excuse about why the O-line sucked this year, I wish this ****** would figure out that this line really sucks and try to address it in free agency, from the way it sounds they will probably draft a couple guys and not go after any FA O-line guys, makes me mad

I hope that is not the case. Thought I heard Edge say he was told they were fixing the OL. Rookie OL will not help now. We need to get at least 1 starter from FA. Green can be one stubborn F$*#er.

In Green I trust. He said he will fix the O-line and I don't care where they come from as long as it is fixed.

Good OL coaching will make a world of difference this year. Now that we have a real OL coach, expect the entire group to play better.

What FA-guys???

There are NO players available that are significantly better then the ones we already got. The only available guy that could be interesting is Funoti, if you can sign him to a low deal with lots of incentives.

The OL free agency class this year is very poor. The top ones have already been signed all that is left is depth. Some vets have been cut and could help. Note that we only have $4 million available now for free agents unless we make some cuts or restructure some contracts. The good news is that this is one of the best years for OL in the draft. That can add depth to the OL.

Maewae, Shields, Runyan. All better than we have now. Not saying we shouldn't draft some but they will not help this year.

There are still some guys out there. I don't they will be signed for another week or so when the prices start dropping.

Best thing about free agency is that some team will get Lavar Arrington or Ty Law or a good deal.

Green was on ESPN Cold Pizza this morning, he basically said that they are going to look at adding to the secondary further in free agency and thats it. Anymore help for the OL is going to come from the draft and IMO they probably won't be ready to play regularly until mid-season at the earliest.

MJ was on this morning and had talked with Loney many times.

He stated that Loney watched film on every guy on every play last year on the OL. He graded each player and Wells had his highest grade. Davis was next I believe. He got the indication that Wells might be the new starting Center becuase he is so smart and stuff, hence Loney's most popular statement so far the best 5 OL will start.

Loney also stated that the OL didnt look bad per say they looked Lazy more then anything. Pretty interesting thought if you think about it. He also said the scheme will change a little and the guys didnt play to the scheme last year becuase again they were lazy. His first order of business was to get the players to play to their abilities.

I believe that the Cards original plan was to have Milford at RG, Wells at C, Kosier at LG, and a draft pick most likely a RT to take over for Ross if he doesnt improve. With Kosier out of the picture they may change that plan to Milford at one of the OG spots, Elton at another most likely RG since he is young and already trained there and Milford has trained at LG, with Wells in the Center, and a draft pick to push or take over for Ross.

Per MJ. The drafting a RT...probably in 2nd round...seems to be what they plan on doing.

He's a little wishy washy sometimes.....so you have to read between the lines...but that is pretty much what I'm getting also.

It is an amalgamation of what Loney has stated in interviews and what he has personally stated to MJ.

This this is all about the right long-term deal. They WON'T sign a player that over 35 years old.

Based on that assumption, there's no one left i FA.

My understanding was they were interested in Maewae.

Interesting stat that gives me comfort about the offensive line:

This is for the Colts and its over Edge's Colt career:

Yards per carry average for Edge: 4.2
YArds per carry average for all other RBs: 3.5

Maybe Edge can take JJ Arrington's 3.3 average and turn it into a 4.0 yard per carry.

My bad.. Didn't go into details.

Yes, they were interested in Mawae, but since he's 35 it'll only be at a one or two year deal. Some team will offer a larger SB, which mean that the contract has to longer to spread out the bonus. Graves will never do that because it hurt the cap when Mawae then retires after a couple of years.
