Derby will bid to focus on football on Friday after a horror Thursday which saw manager Phillip Cocu explain how two of his players were charged with drink driving and his captain had been ruled out for the season. Rams skipper Richard Keogh's knee injury is believed to have been suffered in a car crash and the club have condemned the “alcohol-related incident” in which two other senior players – Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett – were charged with drink-driving on Tuesday night. County will be hoping to look ahead to Saturday's meeting with Birmingham but the spotlight is likely to remain on their off-the-field affairs, especially after manager Cocu revealed how events had unfolded.
