1. Derek Anderson (Cleveland Browns): His passer rating against the blitz is 14.6. Folks, that's not a typo. Just 14.6. Out of 80 pass attempts with at least six pass rushers charging at him, he's completed just 38.8 percent of his throws, averaged just 4.01 yards per attempt, has thrown seven interceptions and no touchdowns. With Brady Quinn added to the team's injured reserve list this past week, Anderson will be back under center for the team's final two contests.

This is why teams are sending the kitchen sink against us on every play. As bad as our O-line is, they don't have a chance against 7 and 8 man blitzes all day. In the past we had Warner who thrived against the blitz, now we've got Anderson and he's so bad against the blitz, that's viewed as the way you beat him.

Groovy. This year is going to suck.

Wow. Don't think teams aren't gonna blitz the crap out of us all year long ... and why wouldn't they?

Gonna be a long season.

DA's throws leave his hand the same speed everytime and it has no arc.,

With this you CANNOT throw screen passes. You cannot throw to the flat with any success. Those are the only two options to beat the blitz. kurt did it exceptionally well.

On Max Halls INT DA cant make that throw since he has no arc. At least Hall can make it. He just learned to throw it a bit higher and harder.

It's not just about ratings against the blitz, it's about other things, intangible things, you can't judge people on stats and ratings, nope, that's just not the whole picture right there.

We dropped the ball on QB when Kurt announced his retirement. Surely the coaches knew what they had in Leinart. And they knew who DA was, a career 50% passer with a turnover machine.

With no legit QB, this season is at high risk of being lost. Maybe 5-6 wins? Just maybe

DA has character. Doesn't anyone here understand? He is taking one for the team. I mean the team is behind him 100%. He is taking those hits so the o-line cannot be blamed. If we lose the season we all can blame DA. He will take the blame and we all can fault him for tanking the season.

Arkansas has a good quarterback and Locker out of U.of Washington has the tools also for NFL qb.Shame.

Locker stunk it up against NEB.

I think the Luck kid from Stanford might be the top choice in 2011? Haven't seen the kid from ARK play yet.

In any event, we do need to start thinking about a back up QBOF the future in case hall doesn't work out.

14.6 against the blitz. mmm mmm MMM.

Damn how we blow up the QB postion like we did this year?

How in the hell did we let Matty go?

Locker is a QB with all the intangibles and physical tools to be elite. The problem is that he has played only 15 or so games as a pocket passer. I don't think he goes high in the draft because of how unpolished he is but he will end up being a very rewarding project for the team that drafts if they have a good coaching staff and supporting cast.

Luck has said he won't declare till he graduates. Maybe a possible rookie cap will change his mind?
