Many of the passes of quarterback Derek Anderson sailed high Sunday. He said the win – which was swirling hard down on the field, made a difference.

“There were some throws that … had some gusts,” Anderson said, noting in particular an overthrow of a wide-open Steve Breaston when Breaston had gotten behind the defense.

“The ball was moving around. For the most part, the balls that were on target guys would corral them. They were moving and that’s something we don’t see.”

Seriously, Derek, go away. I'm sure the wind came and picked up EVERY PASS THAT YOU THREW yesterday and hung every WR out for a huge body hit.

Wow, this guy knows there was another QB on the other team throwing in the same conditions. Does he think every one is ********? I can't stand DA, POS with POS excuses. He is going to get some hurt out there, probably in a game we are losing by 20 points.

What's his excuse for being extremely inaccurate in University of Phoenix stadium?

Sound waves? Ghosts? Mirages?

The sound waves from the chorus of boo birds and maybe the wind created from everyone yelling at him

This and he made the correct throw into triple coverage vs Tampa Bay. This guy does not have a clue. The season can't end quick enough if we keep trotting this fool out there.

This would make more sense if he didn't play the rest of his career in CLEVELAND! I think he's had to deal with wind before.

What an idiot. It seems like the the players and coaches on this team think its fans are a bunch of morons. You can't talk your way out of this one, guys. We realize you're terrible, wind or no wind.

I guess Whisenhunt is actually teaching him something. Next week it will be "I should have worn gloves..."

And all the boos will be heard on National Television when the 9ers come to play and we pull our usual implosion.

I have never let go a boo at our beloved Redbirds while attending a game...from my living room, yeah.

I might be sorely tempted when I'm there Monday night if it's another crapfest but I'll prolly just shed a tear instead

I'm bringing a longtime friend who is a 9er fan and we are both trying to back out of the bet we made months ago. Actually the bet has been downgraded from dinner at Ruths Chris to a brat at the game...lol

during the game yesterday wolfley said that in the second half the wind had dropped off and they showed it on TV, the flags on the goal posts where not flapping around. no excuses for the second half DA.

Wind was bad there. You could actually see the ball moving in different directions on punts and long passes. So there is some validity in his comments but it does not excuse the short passes he screwed up on. No wind involved in that.

He just plain is BAD!!!!

I live here, at times it's just breezy here, apparently KC's QB learned how to throw in it.

Every time I see this thread title, I transpose words & think it reads something about Anderson passing bad wind...and it makes me snicker.

This explaination actually makes sense. The wind is caused from him sucking so much when he's on the field--it actually creates a vacum that causes the ambient air to rush in.

Cassell wouldn't have been affected by that because it doesn't happen when DA is sitting on the bench.

Anderson's parents made a bad Anderson.

The Browns take Anderson to the Super Bowl.

I can tell you the wind was horrific. It swirled throughout the game. No excuse to use when Cassell had a pretty solid day, but we did throw numerous balls downfield. It was pretty bad!!!

BTW, DA's arm-strength is supposed to give him an advantage in the wind.

I loathe Derek Anderson.

I remember thinking how classless Cleveland fans were for cheering when he lay on the turf and injured.

Not that I would cheer for an injured player, but now I get where all the pent up aggression and vitrol came from.

This guy freaking sucks.

I have been reading how most want Wiz's head on a plate, but Bill Belichek couldnt win 3 games with this QB crew. Granted Wiz played a role in this QB travesty, but so did the front office.

Its tough to look like a good coach when your F_____ QUARTER BACK CAN'T EVEN THROW A SCREEN PASS.

What a joke of a player. I can't stand him and I wish everyone understood what a QB who can't sustain drives does to a defense, play calling, and a coaching staff.

I reckon with even an average QB we have won 5-6 games. Other then Anderson, the rest of the team has playoff level talent, and I still believe in the coaching staff.

Its just tough to look smart when you have Bozo the Clown under center throwing scud missles into the dirt or throwinf high and laying out EVERY SINGLE WR ON THE ROSTER. Seriously hes gotten Breaston, Fitz, Williams, and Doucet hurt all at some point.

Man I loathe Derek Anderson.

I agree with this logic.

Someone call the Myth Busters and see if it is true.
