I'm thinking , the new CBA , can't wear pads for this , can't do 2 a days , can't do this or that . Looks as if throughout the league it's turning football players into wimps . It's not just the Cardinals , it's across the league . The only exception that I see is the team being fined for running tough practices .

How this relates to a punter's groin pull and the usual minor bumps and bruises is beyond me.

I believe that it is because today's athletes train 365 days a year. Their body never gets a rest. They are all afraid of falling behind their competition. Athletes in all sports have no off season any longer and I believe their body needs it.

they have a ton of free time,if u make 1 hour workout then u have 23 hours to rest.
many people works hard 10 hours a day, they have fewer chance to rest.
the problem with all of these drug issues is cause they have just too much free time

NFL players do have an offseason, their bodies do get rest, they aren't afraid, and all sports have an offseason. Geez. :doi:

I agree with this, but we may be in the minority. I think the new rules make it easier to get injured because during full pad drills, just as one example, with your own team, your body gets conditioned and alert, your muscle memory gets set, and you're less likely to get injured. If you only go out once a month and hit, your body is less likely to respond well.

I don't think it's a wimp thing though, I just think their bodies aren't conditioned for it. If a team does two-a-days and full pads with hitting you can ease them into it over time. If you only do it once a week or once every two weeks and you can only hit say 3 times before the season, their bodies aren't adjusted. It's a violent sport, some collisions are like a car wreck, you have to prepare dude's and work their bodies into it. Not doing so makes it more likely they suffer a major injury.

I haven't done the research but I bet if you did you'd find more season-ending injuries after the collective bargaining agreement than before. The players union, in my opinion, has screwed the players more than helped them in many instances. This last CBA they screwed themselves, not just with the new practice rules but with rookie salaries and the concussion protocols. They'd be better served working out a better retirement plan, health care, and pension.

Besides punting, he was the holder on FG's and XPt's.

the second qb could just learn how to hold the ball ,he has nothing to do then just sit the whole game.
also in madden the placekicke3r is the back up qb

Wait, I thought Bishop was showing some skills in coverage?

If all we have are thumpers who's going to be our 3rd down LB?

Strange - wonder how he ended up on the outs? We don't have much at ILB...
