Last week, New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan and his agent came to terms with the team on a pay reduction that would keep him in a Saints uniform for the foreseeable future. Jordan expressed over the weekend on his "Off the Edge" podcast that he didn't have interest in playing for another team and was willing to do whatever it took to keep him in New Orleans. He also shared that he wouldn't disclose the numbers of his reworked deal and that those interested could find out through Internet search.

Now those numbers are available. Per ESPN's Katherine Terrell, Jordan's reworked deal lowers his cap number for 2025 down from $20,061,000 to just $9,775,000. NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill clarifies that, not including the signing bonus proration from his previous contract which has already been paid, Jordan will make $6.05 million this year with another $4 million available in performance bonuses. It's a very team-friendly move by one of the teams all-time greats. Here's what those incentives look like:

With about $28.8 million in cap space created by the Saints in recent days, they now have the ability to make some significant moves via free agency or trade. However, it doesn't seem at least at this point in time that they are fishing for big name players. The aggressiveness to pursue cornerback Charvarius Ward and wide receiver Cooper Kupp opened some eyes but the team failed to land either player. With many questions along both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, it'll be interesting to see what the teams approach is the rest of the offseason. There are a good amount of notable players left in free agency that could upgrade this roster. The question is, what price is this team willing to pay?
