Plot Summary: "Detective Pikachu" is the first live-action film based on the globally popular Pokémon franchise and will star Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith ("Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom") and Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies). Smith will star as a teen whose father is kidnapped which leads him to Reynolds’ Pikachu and Kathryn Newton as a young journalist who team up in order to find him.

Wife and I saw this tonight and it was a lot of fun.

 

[Covert Rain]

Took my daughter to see this with the wife. Wife fell asleep and I thought it was meh. I mean, it was OK. My daughter really liked it but she is familiar with all the characters. Not even Ryan Reynolds could lift this above meh.
