Detroit Lions 2025 schedule: What we know, NFL schedule release date

We'll know a little bit more about the Detroit Lions' 2025 regular-season schedule in about three weeks.

During the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft on April 24, the NFL announced the official schedule release will happen May 14 at 8 p.m. ET. The release is expected to be broadcasted on NFL Network.

While we don't know in what order the Lions' opponents will come, we do know what opponents Detroit will be facing. And because the Lions finished the 2024 season with their second-consecutive NFC North title, their potential path to their first-ever Super Bowl appearance will include matchups with many high-quality opponents.

The Lions' schedule will include eight home games at Ford Field, and nine away games. Additionally, the Lions will play the preseason Hall of Fame game against the Los Angeles Chargers on July 31 in Canton, Ohio.
