We've played Detroit quite a bit over the years but who would have ever thought that a week 11 game between these two teams would be between the top two teams in the NFC.
You would think it would be the Fox national game of the week but Philly and Green Bay play at the same time as this game so we'll probably get stuck with regional coverage with Myers and Barber again.

Barber is not good. Did enjoy having Matt Hasselbeck in there though. Some comments you don't hear every week.

As long as Troy and Buck (Troy is not that bad, it is this Buck guy that makes the whole game unbearable) call the Philly Green Bay game, I am cool. And if John Lynch is calling games still, keep him away from the Cardinals. Myers and Barber are the least of the poisons out there... anyone want to endure Dick Stockton again lol

I don't think FOX will assign a top crew to this game.

Despite the records, I just don't see this as a game that will attract good ratings.

Likely the #1 crew will be at PHI v. GB. We'll get the #2 crew, which is Albert, Moose Johnston, Oliver, and Siragusa. I'd rather have #2, personally.

EDIT: Myers and Barber?!?! Ugh

I don't care who calls the game. I just care who wins the game! This game will be our biggest game this year. If playing angry is the way to do, as far as the announcer the TV guys go I don't know how much they make but I'm sure it's to much .

Chris Myers and Ronde Barber are calling our game. The team that beat Green Bay and has a better record at the team that beat Philadelphia and has a better record. Of course Green Bay at Philadelphia is the main game!

Doesn't really matter. I can't hear any of them from my seat.

Hasselbeck and Barber meshed well - make Rhonde actually enjoyable.

I used to hate Troy but he has been really good this year. I don't know anyone who likes Buck.

No kidding. It was hard to listen to Barber. Reminded me of Joe Morgan in MLB games.

I'm not as concerned with who exactly is calling the game but am more noting that a game between the #1 and the #2 teams in the NFC is getting about the same amount of TV exposure that a game with two teams with losing records would get. It's a huge game but you wouldn't know it by looking at the coverage map.

Anyone see this article?
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-packers-lions-and-eagles-merit-consideration

Best team in the NFC--none of them picked the Cardinals. Just the Lions, Eagles & Packers

As far as the talking heads go Philly & GB is the match-up most want to see.

I love that no one has picked us. I was watching Inside the NFL last night everyone there picked the Lions to beat us on Sunday. Better yet, I'm positive the Cardinals are well aware of this. I'm still weary of our chances against the elite QB's in the league, but I'm far from crowing Stafford as elite. If we can dial up some pressure, I think Stafford will turn it over just enough to allow us to win this game. Why are the Lions getting such love??? They've been beating average teams by the skin of their teeth. I think the Cardinal come out in a rage on Sunday & we'll have to see how Stafford handles it.

I like the Lions but c'mon - they've beaten Atlanta and NO by 1, the Jets and Minnesota and loss to Carolina. The only decent teams they beat are Miami and GB. I know any given Sunday and all that but we should win this game even with Stanton. GBR!!

I agree with this, +1.

Because they only have one more loss than we do? Because they have the #1 ranked defense in the league? Because they have arguably the best offensive player in the league in Megatron? Winning close games makes you a strong team.

They've only played 2 good teams, Green Bay & New Orleans & both were home games. They lost to the Bills & Carolina kicked their butts. Otherwise, they have narrow victories over the Jets, Dolphins, & Falcons. I agree that close wins can galvanize a team, but narrow wins against some crappy teams don't leave me impressed.

You are what your record says you are. Period. Just like I think we're the best team in the NFL until proven otherwise. Detroit is good. Really good. Best D in the NFL. That doesn't just happen. And they're strong on D where we're weak. Just pray Stanton survives Sunday. I hope we win, but let's not act like we're playing chumps lol. Ridiculous.

they beat Green Bay and Miami... both are solid Ws. We've beaten the Niners (who are a play away from being 4-5), Eagles (BIG W) and a Romo-less Cowboy team as our big wins with squeakers over the rest of the schedule. If someone is going to question the Lions record, you could easily do the same with us.

reality is they're a tough team right now and so are we. should be a battle.

So according to the 506 sports distribution map, parts of 9 states will see the Cardinals Lions matchup while the remaining 39 states in the continental US watch Philly vs Green Bay.

The 9 States:
85% of Michigan
85% of Arizona
Washington
Oregon
95% of Idaho
Half of Montana
40-50% of California
Maybe 15-20% of both Indiana & Ohio

*** %s are rough estimates

This, you play who is on your schedule and the objective is winning and it does not matter by what margin you do it... the Lions are a good team and a much bigger challenge than Dallas was, even if they had Romo playing lol
