The defensive-minded New Jersey Devils picked up one of the NHL's marquee goal scorers in acquiring Ilya Kovalchuk from the Atlanta Thrashers in a blockbuster deal Thursday nighgt. This is a great trade for New Jersey. They get the best player from Atlanta and really did not need to give up anyone who is or will be a superstar. Getting Kovalchuk could get the Devils back to the Stanley Cup finals.
