I dont know anything about the guy, besides the MVP of the big bowl.

Did any of you guys follow him at all?

I hear he is fast and very athletic, but it seems he hasnt been a big time player in his short nfl years...

With the amount we paid him I am alittle concerned if he will be good or not...

I appreciate your concern about paying an incoming player. But we just have to wait & see how he turns out.

I mean he looked not bad there in the Super Bowl, made some convincing plays(pick-offs). That probably is not enough to go by, but hey, you have to admit he did not get on a Champion roster for nothing & MVP for nothing!!

It's just one of those things where we kind of have to bank on most recent performance & hope he turns out.

I don't know much about him, but forget about the SB MVP thing--the dude was a starter on the Bucs D. That says a lot right there.

I view Jackson as a decent Lassiter replacement. Whether he's more than that - based on the Super Bowl performance - will be up to Dexter to prove during camp and preseason. (My guess is that he will. But we really won't know til we see him action).

Considering the way that KLass played last season, Jackson is a definitive upgrade. Hopefully he'll break the SB MVP jinx, though.

I know this has nothing to do with it but Madden 2003 has D.Jackson rated around 63 Overall. Which at least means Madden did not know much about him before last season. You can't read too much into it, but just another piece of info.

Yeah, and Justin Lucas was a 41 or so on my Madden 2002! :D

Clement was like a 68.

This definately has to be looked upon as an Upgrade. Dexter Jackson comes in and replaces Lassiter.

First of all Lassiter made $3.3 million last year. Jackson signed for only about $2.8 million a year. So right away there is a cap savings.

Then factor in that Lassiter has already peaked. While Jackson has yet to reach that peak. Also I think that Jackson is quicker and more athletic than Lassiter.

The only question mark for Jackson is whether or not he will still thrive without the supporting cast he had in Tampa.

Nope..... The Saints are rumored to be interested, but every other team has showed little or no intrest.
