This offense is inconsistant and pathetic. I wonder how much longer Carlos and Conor will be in Tucson?

LOL - the other day, leaving BOB, I thought, "What would Wally Backman do with these guys?" Not seriously, of course, but I have to imagine he would have ripped some new ones well before this. He had no tolerance for this kind of crappy play from kids, much less veterans.

Reportedly Melvin was openly, publically irate with the players last night, but doesn't seem to have made any difference yet.

Diamondbacks snap their 4-game losing streak as they win 7-5. Gonzo makes a great catch to rob Werth a homer. Cintron needs to start every game a head of Clayton.

When was the last time Gonzo had the defensive play of the day on Baseball Tonight?

Uhhhhh.......

NEVER

Awesome catch. Gonzo may not be the most athletic guy but he always give the effort.

D'Backs score 5 runs in the first. Green hits another homer against his old team.

Diamondbacks win 10-3 and take the series. The bullpen pitched very well. Valverde had 3 K's in 1.2 innings. Green had 3 rbi's and a homer. Tracy also had a homer and Cintron had 3 hits. Melvin needs to play Alex a lot more.

Cintron looks better at third than at SS, lately. Which is fine with me - put Boy-Toy Troy and his cheekful of chaw on the 15 day DL, maybe - let that knee and wrist really heal up.

El Papa Grande looked fine out there - looks like he's back to his old self.

Do they have home BP jerseys?

is Troy Glaus the biggest disappointment this year? Can anyone tell me if any of his 'RBI's or Hoemruns have been game winners or have put us in the lead or just got the team going to come from behind?

Also why does he seem to Jog to first base on his occasional hits?

This guy just isn't what we were told he was. If he is injured then put him on the DL, get him out of the lineup.

How many sacrafice fly does he have or how many times has he moved a runner?

Where can I get this information??

He had a walk-off home run against Kansas City in the 11th in a game that should have been over long before that (you can thank the bullpen for that one), for one. Glaus also leads the team in RBIs. He is having a typical Troy Glaus year in most categories, except for RISP strangely enough. This year he has been an under .200 batter with runners in scoring position, where as his career numbers are above .300 I believe.

Edit: he also has 3 sac flies, tying him with Gonzo and Counsell, but behind Tracy (5) and Green (6).

Glaus is also batting .256. I don't think that's good enough. also leads the team w/76 strikeouts. 16 more than #2...Clayton. He's been better at 3rd base lately, but he's crappy at the plate, and his hobbled, cortizone shot knee isn't helping.

Thanks for the reply. It seems he is doing about what the rest of the team is doing, which isn't enough.

If his knees are that bad he should be on the dl.
