Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen encouraged Alex Cora to get into coaching

Back in 2016, Alex Cora was working as a baseball analyst for ESPN. The Arizona Diamondbacks were looking for a new manager and Cora interviewed for the Diamondbacks job. The position ultimately went to former Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo, as it was expected to, but Cora took away quite a bit from the experience.
