Well... can the Dbacks break a 4-game losing streak when they encounter the Barroidless Giants at SBC Park? The Dbacks have faired better against the NL West this year and this series could really help them with their cause to finally supplant both the Padres and Dodgers ontop of the division.....

Wow.. I must admit that I honestly didnt know how horrid most of the Giants starters stats are....

This is probably the most crucial game that Vazquez has pitched since joining the Dbacks since he's the anchor and stopper in the rotation..it's his duty to pitch a solid game to set the tone of this very important series... Must continue from where both Webb and Estes have left-off and of course pitch so deep into the game (or even obviously a complete game) so the Dbacks dont have to rely on their BP whatsoever.... Also, with Vargas pitching tomorrow against Tomko...there's no way possible the Dbacks can afford to lose tonight because otherwise they'd automatically have a 6 game losing streak.. so hope Vazquez shuts the Giants down and that Vargas proves me wrong....

A few things...

Th DBacks tonight played some terrible defense yet somehow managed not to get an error. The scorekeeper called two of Javy's sliders wild pitches when they were clearly passed balls, Glaus showed no range in failing to get to a RBI grounder that most 3B would have come up with, Gonzo completely misjudged a fly ball, and Counsell had a couple awful throws. You could see Javy getting frustrated out on the mound with the defense as well as Snyder's inability to get on the same page as him. It wouldn't shock me if this team plays to their statistics and end up out of the race if we see Jaby get traded before the deadline. In this market we coild probably get a great deal for him but we should let it play out for the next month and see what happens.

First time below .500 since the second day of the season, time to see how the team responds.

What a depressing game...13 left on base, and we managed zero runs on Lowry?! Time for this offense to wake up.

The inning where we had 2nd and 3rd with no outs and didn't score was disgusting.

Bush league JT Snow is peeking back at Snyder while at-bat trying to grab a sign or location. Him or one of his battery mates better get one in the back today or tomorrow.

Wow, Valverde pitches two scoreless innings, striking out three. Let's see if others in the bullpen can step up.

Did you here Bragaman and Matt talking about how the organization has asked Valverde to tone down his act?

I say Valverde makes outs, he can jump around all he wants.

Maybe that should be the organizations policy.

Relievers that don't give up runs can do whatever the hell they want.
